COUNSELLINGCOUNSELLING

Welcome to Reality Support Services Counselling

At Reality Support Services (RSS), we believe everyone deserves a safe space to be heard, understood, and supported. Our counselling practice offers a compassionate and inclusive approach for people navigating neurodivergence, disability, trauma, and mental health challenges.

As an NDIS-registered provider, we are committed to accessibility and flexibility, ensuring counselling is available to individuals and families through both NDIS and private pathways.

Each session is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs of every person — building understanding, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. We work alongside clients to explore their stories, strengthen coping strategies, and foster long-term growth and resilience.

We specialise in supporting individuals experiencing:

  • Autism, ADHD, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), or cognitive changes
  • Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation challenges
  • Trauma and domestic violence recovery
  • Chronic health conditions or adjustment following life change
  • Carer stress and family relationship difficulties

Our counsellors provide both in-person and telehealth sessions, using evidence-based and creative modalities such as:

  • Person-Centred Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
  • Play Therapy and creative interventions

At RSS, we don’t just talk — we listen, create, and walk beside you on your journey toward wellbeing and self-fulfilment.

How Counselling Can Support You

Everyone experiences challenges at different points in life. Whether you’re facing a difficult situation, living with mental health concerns, or simply looking for personal growth, counselling can offer meaningful support tailored to your individual needs.

Here are just some of the ways counselling can help:

Emotional Support and a Safe Space

Counsellors provide a confidential, non-judgmental environment where you can speak openly about your thoughts, feelings, and experiences—often for the first time. It’s a space to be heard and supported without fear of criticism.

Mental Health Management

Counselling can assist in managing a wide range of mental health challenges, including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Grief and loss
  • Stress or burnout

Navigating Life Transitions and Challenges

Whether you’re dealing with a relationship breakdown, career change, illness, or adjusting to a new role such as parenting or caring, counselling can provide clarity, stability, and support during uncertain times.

Personal Growth and Self-Awareness

You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling. It can help you:

  • Better understand yourself
  • Improve self-esteem and confidence
  • Set and achieve personal goals
  • Build emotional resilience and practical coping strategies

Improving Relationships

Counselling can help improve how you relate to others—whether in family, friendships, or professional settings—by enhancing communication skills, supporting boundary-setting, and addressing conflict in a healthy way.

Processing Trauma or Past Experiences

If you’ve experienced trauma, abuse, or unresolved life events, counselling provides a supportive space to explore and process those experiences at your own pace, helping you move toward healing.
